Hand painted shibori-style fabric, other hand-painted fabric with salt, commercial fabrics, photograph of hosta flowers printed on sheer
silk organza (in center of quilt, and upper right). Fused applique & free-motion quilted with rayon and metallic thread.
The sheerness of the silk organza allows the underlying fabric's color and pattern to peek through the photograph a bit, altering it slightly and creating interesting effects. Detail shot here. |
