"Northern Green Frog"
Frog painted with metallic textile paints, commercial fabrics,
machine appliqued, fused applique, free-motion quilting with rayon threads.
Based on the wonderful colors of the
Northern Green Frogs that
surrounded our pond this spring. Bright lime green chins and bellies, and metallic golds and coppers on their backs. Most of
them would leap into the water as I tried to quietly get close to photograph them, but one beauty in particular must have
known he was about to be photographed to be turned into an art quilt, because he consistently sat still! :-)
