with textile paints on commercial fabric, machine appliqued, fused applique, free-motion quilting
with rayon threads.
Based on a massive old copper beech tree on "The Green" in
New Castle, Delaware. When standing underneath this tree's canopy, even in full sun, the dark purple leaves create a
moody atmosphere of darkness alternating with light peeking through.
