Diane Knott My mother is an internationally-known watercolorist who licenses her designs for use on a variety of products, such as fabric, greeting cards, calendars, garden flags, candle accessories, prints, and much more. Katherine Ferris Nicholson Kathy Nicholson's quilted landscapes, inspired by her travels. Michelle Verbeeck Michelle's site contains images of her portrait art quilts, and she also maintains a list of upcoming art shows. Be sure to visit her handbag site. Sue Zipkin Another painter whose bright and cheerful artwork is licensed on a variety of products, such as fabric, dinnerware and much more. Quilt Art Check out their Links page full of links to other art quilters' sites.  Maxfield Parrish had such a way of painting twilight and trees - be sure to see Lull Brook Winter and all the other images on this comprehensive site of Parrish's work (Art Renewal Center). Alphonse Mucha Also on the Art Renewal site lives a good collection of Mucha's work. My favorites are his art nouveau stylized illustrations of women, such as Winter. Beatrix Potter Who could not like naturalist Beatrix Potter's illustrations and paintings, based on her own pets, and observations of wildlife and surrounding landscapes! Ruth McDowell Ruth's amazing art quilts - all pieced "the traditional way"! Valerie Hearder Her stunning landscape quilts made with hand-dyed fabric were an early inspiration to me. Margaret Roberts Margaret's exquisite small fiber art landscapes are amazing. All that color and detail with little strips of fabric and thread. I first discovered the beauty of this English artist's work in an issue of Quilting Arts magazine. Lauren Camp Lauren Camp's Fabric of Jazz series - wow. Another quilt artist I discovered early on while I was poking around the web looking up what art quilting really is. I'm sorry I missed her exhibits in the PA area because we had already moved away by then.  I'm honored to have been interviewed by the Alliance - see my story here!
