"Soldier's Path"
- Juried into The Art and Soul of Quilting exhibit, Kenosha, WI, 2004.
- Exhibited in the Educational Testing Service Second Annual Employee Art Exhibit, May, 2003.

Machine appliqued with monofilament and a blind hem, fused applique, free-motion quilting.

Based on a photo I took on a 17-degree day in January, 2003, this is the site where George Washington crossed the icy Delaware River during the Revolutionary War, and one of my favorite parks in the Bucks County, PA, and Mercer County, NJ, areas (the park spans the river in both states). In my photo, there was an enormous amount of thick ice on the river, and no snow on the ground, but I reversed it for the art quilt or else the water wouldn't look like water. I've always loved this tree-lined path, in all seasons.
