 "After the Rain in Autumn"
Machine appliqued, fused applique, free-motion quilting with rayon threads, and black cording.
Based on the striking contrasting colors in the woods on an autumn day after a rainstorm, while walking from my car to the building I used to work in at ETS in Princeton, NJ. It was still overcast, but the leaves were glowing an intense yellow while the tree trunks were nearly black from being wet. |
